The name Juda: Heard from the
late Lily Eichental and Liby Magnus that the original name was Schechter.
Our forefather Yehoshua Hershel Zvi migrated around
1860 to Dukla, Poland (South-East corner of Poland, south-east of Tarnow, near
Czechoslovakia) with his young wife whose maiden name was Monaster. They changed their
last name to -
Juda.
During the late 1860's they moved to Orloch, Czechoslovakia, and later to
Ladomer, Czechoslovakia.
The family spread around in the neighboring towns and into Hungary.
